The old Gleneely School was built in 1847 at a cost of £70 on land owned by John Bradley. It was a one roomed building with a fire at each end.

4/27/2019 · Finn Valley AC’s John McElhill was the winner of last night’s Gleneely NS 5k. McElhill led the way in 16 minutes and 17 seconds. He was ahead of Rosses AC’s Charlie O’Donnell (16:28) and Finn Valley’s Colin McNulty (16:42). Tir Chonaill AC’s Mia McCalmont was the leading female, finishing fourth overall in 17 minutes and 15 seconds.
