5/23/2018 · I’ve owned and driven fast cars, this jeep seemed doggy to me. I turned off the traction control tonight and I gotta say, 1sr gear is impressive! This thing will shred tires on command,with ease. Did the jk’s? I’ve only driven customers jk’s so I’ve never really ran one hard.
1/21/2021 · Traction control is for inexperienced drivers or ice, end of story. Took the Jeep to the beach and on the sand it kicked in right away…very sluggish, almost like it was stuck. Turn off the traction control , magically had power and was moving again.

11/18/2019 · What more does doing this disable than just pressing and holding the traction control button on the console until ESC OFF comes up on the cluster? That’s always been sufficient for me to do donuts in the snow. I do recall seeing somewhere that ESC OFF isn’t everything off, but I don’t recall what is still active.
11/30/2018 · I understand that pressing on the traction control will disable it and if you press longer in the traction controlcont will also disable the stability control . My observations were: 1. When driving over a certain speed, I think 40 or 50 mph, the stability control will be enabled back on until you lower your speed.
2/11/2008 · In 4wd low range, only BLD functions so there is no need to turn off traction control . Just to get this out of the way from the Jeep perspective, BLD is not a substitute for locking differentials. It is a means to greatly expand the off road capability of vehicles that were not purchased with or do not offer locking differentials.

5/9/2019 · I have been wondering, would the JL most likely be the JK? Or would they change it to where there would be a 1sec press to deactivate TC but keep ESC on, and a 5 sec press to disable everything (even in 2H, 4H, and 4L above 40mph)… that would be I deal. Now as I understand, some have been pulling the fuse but that would disable the ABS as well.
